The CrossFit Ascension training team is dedicated to providing a training experience that’s enjoyable and effective for anyone that walks through our doors. We foster a supportive community that welcomes people from all walks of life, from fitness newbies to the most experienced athletes. We expertly gauge your abilities and limitations and stand by you from the beginning. Meet the crew.
  • Gary Boden

    Owner/Coach

    Owner Gary Boden specializes in helping people get stronger because, he says, strength is the foundation of so many other things. “Whether your goal is health, fitness, family, quality of life, looking better naked, or being a good parent, being stronger would help.”

    In 2007, after having surgery on both his shoulders, Gary found himself overweight, out of shape, and terribly unhappy. He tried CrossFit to get back on track. “I looked better, felt better, and I loved having something competitive drive me again,” he says. “CrossFit transformed my life, and it made me want to help and inspire others.”

  • Jason Wilson

    Coach

    Jason started CrossFit in 2011 and now enjoys participating in local competitions and coaching others through their fitness journey. He is passionate about fitness for everyone and loves being a part of the members’ journeys.

  • Steven Huling

    Coach

    Dietary Technician Steven Huling got hooked on the CrossFit community as much as the WODs. “The welcoming community at my first CrossFit made me not only want to get more educated, but also help people because these (strangers at first) were so willing to help me finish my workouts.” His enjoys building relationships with members and helping them achieve their goals.

    Steven’s favorite quote is “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct in the care of human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease” – Thomas Edison

  • Tony Sincere

    Coach

    Coach Tony Sincere not only has the coolest last name of anyone in our gym, he is also “sincere” about being the best possible at everything in life both inside and outside the gym. A recent graduate with a degree in Geology, Tony loves the outdoors and all the fun things you can do outside. “CrossFit is an essential part of doing these activities to the fullest!” he says.

    Tony has been a track and field runner, a football player, and holds a black belt in Hapkido. Today, he specializes in gymnastic movements and Olympic lifting.

    His favorite quote is “Not all who wander are lost.”

  • Travis Phillips

    Coach

    Travis is a firm believer that utilizing our bodies as they are intended—to move, to work, to sweat—allows us richer and fuller lives. He seeks to continuously learn in his constant pursuit to become the best version of himself, and help others do the same. Travis enjoys working with new members, the older population, as well as those with orthopedic concerns.
